In order to ensure that a project is delivered according to the customer’s standards, the project manager should define and document the project’s requirements. Requirements are the detailed inputs and outputs, processes, and other needs that a particular product, system, or service must fulfill to meet the customer’s standards. They provide a clear picture of what the end product should be and how it should perform.
