Quality is the degree to which a set of inherent characteristics fulfills requirements, according to the BABOK® Guide (p. 7). Quality is also defined as the extent to which a product or service meets the customer’s expectations and needs. Quality can be measured by various criteria, such as functionality, reliability, usability, efficiency, maintainability, and portability.
