The Huawei CloudMCU is a converged media platform that supports a wide range of industry-standard audio codecs to ensure interoperability and high-quality voice. According to official technical specifications, the supported audio protocols include:
Narrowband: G.711a/u, G.729, G.729A, and iLBC.
Wideband/High-Fidelity: G.722, G.722.1, G.722.1C (Siren7/14), OPUS, and AAC-LD.
G.721 is an obsolete 32 kbit/s ADPCM standard that was officially superseded by and incorporated into the G.726 standard. Because it is a legacy protocol not used in modern high-definition video conferencing, it is not supported by the CloudMCU.
