In vDefend, Dynamic Groups allow administrators to build security boundaries that automatically scale. As VMs are spun up, they are automatically added to the group if they match the configured logical expressions.
These expressions evaluate criteria based on string matching against metadata (like a VM Tag, OS Name, or Computer Name). Valid string-matching operators natively supported by the policy engine include Equals, NotEquals, StartsWith (Option C), EndsWith, and Contains (Option D).
IncludeAll and ExcludeAll are not valid programmatic operators or expression criteria within the vDefend dynamic grouping logic. Grouping requires specific conditional matching; saying "Include All" contradicts the filtering purpose of a dynamic expression.
