Interest Tags are the Agentforce Financial Services capability designed to capture customer interests, preferences, needs, and potential engagement opportunities. They are particularly suitable for wealth-management organizations that want to preserve lifestyle information discovered during advisor conversations and subsequently use it to personalize future interactions.
Salesforce cites personal hobbies such as golf and skiing as examples of Interest Tags that can be applied to Person Account records. Salesforce also supports business-oriented tags such as investment interests, allowing the same framework to capture both personal and professional customer preferences.
Interest Tags can be organized into hierarchical Tag Categories. For example, an administrator could create a Hobbies category containing Golf, Travel, Sailing, and Skiing. This controlled taxonomy provides greater consistency than unstructured notes and makes the captured information suitable for reports and dashboards.
Interest Tags use Salesforce Topics infrastructure underneath, so Topics must be enabled for the applicable objects. However, Topics by itself is the underlying platform capability rather than the Financial Services-specific customer-interest feature. Alerts communicate conditions requiring attention rather than enduring client preferences. For tracking hobbies and supporting personalized wealth-management engagement, Interest Tags are therefore the appropriate feature.
