A Manual Task is the correct orchestration item whenever fulfillment depends on deliberate human input. Associating an OmniScript with that task gives the technician or warehouse user a guided form to capture identifiers, tracking data, installation details, or other operational values with validation and a controlled completion path. Once the Manual Task is completed, Order Management can continue with the dependent automated steps. This approach is preferable because it uses the platform feature designed for the exact lifecycle stage involved, rather than forcing the requirement into a neighboring layer. Auto Tasks and Callouts are intended for automated processing, while Push Events wait for externally initiated state changes. None provides the required user-facing guided data-entry experience by itself. In Communications Cloud, that separation materially affects maintainability, performance, and the accuracy of future MACD or order-processing behavior. The solution should therefore preserve parent-child and inventory dependencies, use standard qualification or orchestration semantics, and ensure that downstream systems receive only the information relevant to their responsibility. The same design also simplifies regression testing because the business rule is expressed in one authoritative place and can be validated independently from unrelated product or integration behavior.
