When the source of a Financial Transaction is canceled, it results in a new reversal Financial Transaction being created. The reversal Financial Transaction has the same amount as the source Financial Transaction, but with the opposite sign. The reversal Financial Transaction also has the same source as the source Financial Transaction, but with a different status. The source Financial Transaction remains in the system, but its status is changed to “Canceled”.
