NDB supports database and database server VM deployment on NC2 on Azure by using overlay networks created through Nutanix Flow Virtual Networking. A Flow overlay subnet provides the logical network used by the NDB-managed database server VMs while allowing the networking configuration to operate consistently within the NC2 environment. Flow underlay subnets are not the supported choice for this NDB deployment model. AHV IP Address Management is associated with AHV-managed networks and does not represent the required NC2 on Azure networking type. Azure-native networking exists beneath the NC2 infrastructure, but NDB-managed database provisioning uses the Flow overlay network exposed within NC2 rather than directly attaching database VMs to a native Azure network. Nutanix’s official NDB on NC2 documentation confirms support for Flow Virtual Networking overlay networks on NC2 environments.
