Microsoft 365 Conditional Access can be configured to restrict access to services like OneDrive to specific network locations, typically the corporate IP range. To enforce real-time DLP policies on OneDrive while satisfying Conditional Access IP requirements, the solution is to use Netskope Private Access (NPA) to forward Microsoft 365 login traffic through the on-premises network. When users authenticate to Microsoft 365 through the NPA tunnel, the traffic appears to originate from the corporate network’s IP address, satisfying the Conditional Access policy requirement. Once authenticated, subsequent traffic can be inspected by Netskope’s Real-time Protection policies for DLP enforcement. Creating bypass policies or steering exceptions would undermine DLP enforcement, defeating the combined security and compliance objective.
