According to the CCBA® Handbook, one of the tasks of the business analyst is to “validate requirements to ensure that they are aligned with the business objectives and deliver value to stakeholders” (p. 11). Therefore, any requirements that do not deliver value to stakeholders should be removed from the requirements set, as they are unnecessary, irrelevant, or wasteful.
