The Device Health summary provides an immediate qualitative assessment and can be expanded into the metrics or counts driving the classification. Review whether poor health is caused by uptime, hardware alarms, temperature, stack state or other supported indicators. The Hardware card exposes component detail but does not provide the same concise overall health categorization. The topology map answers where devices connect; health scoring answers which managed components require attention. Cross-check the classification against current device reachability before declaring an outage.
The Hardware card examines physical components, whereas the topology view is concerned with connection relationships. Neither replaces the direct health summary used for first-pass switch triage.
